Canon Powershot SX230 HS (review, sort of)

I've been itching to get a new camera.  My old one (a 4-year-old Panasonic ZS1 given to me by my brother) already had that permanent scratch on the center that shows up on certain focusing levels, and the videos had vertical streaking issues because of the sensor (CCD - happens to all cameras with this sensor).  Other than that, I was pretty happy with it - 10x optical zoom, nice quality pictures, great video and sound, responsive user interface (UI), and sturdy design (I've dropped it a couple of times...).  It's been my buddy for quite a while, but I felt I needed something that suited my ever-evolving needs.

I want to write again, but let me look for those notes first...

My place in the Anime world

I'm a fan of anime. I started watching them when I was a kid (Dragonball Z, or maybe even earlier). The first Anime I really loved was Pokemon (where I asked my mom to buy me a gameboy instead of traveling to the USA. Yeah).

I don't really plan to blog about anime. I just wanted to share how I'm faring with my anime shows:

At the left is my MyAnimeList profile stats side-by-side with Divine's (the one on the right), who handles the anime blog Random Curiosity. I ALWAYS (like, every hour. Kidding.) check that site out for reviews of anime and lively discussions about everything. They also give previews of anime airing the next season. It's amazing how some poeple can sustain blogging episodically. Me? I can't even blog monthly! hahahaha :))))

So, I guess I have a loooooong way to go. Or maybe because I'm very selective of what to watch (i.e. I avoid shows that have poor reviews).
